Join us for an exclusive webinar featuring Lucy Heyman, MSc in Performance Science, as she explores the latest insights on vocal health for performers in 2025. Whether you’re a singer, voice teacher, or performer, this session will provide essential knowledge to maintain your vocal well-being.
Health Risks for Singers
As a singer, you face a range of health risks that can affect your vocal performance and overall well-being. Internal factors like your age, gender, body composition, and any underlying health conditions can increase your vulnerability to vocal strain and injury. Unbalanced vocal technique, low self-esteem, and a lack of emotional support can also make you more susceptible to issues. On top of that, external factors such as poor acoustics, loud environments, and demanding touring schedules can add further strain. Financial uncertainty, bullying, and an imbalanced work-life dynamic may heighten stress, making it harder to maintain vocal health. Major transitions — like starting higher education, rehearsing for a new show, or navigating an intense performance schedule — can compound these challenges. But the good news is that by recognizing these risks, you can take steps to protect your voice! In this webinar, Lucy Heyman will share expert strategies to help you manage and minimize these risks.
